Velveteen Christmas Coats and Bonnets

The first of my Christmas sewing!! Karen Faylor's "Toddler Coat and Bonnet"

The ribbon under the pink bonet looks a little smooshy, but it really is not!!!

OH-MY-GOODNESS! Those are soooo precious, Sara! I can just see those 2 beautiful baby girls in their coats and bonnets among all the christmas festivities - they will look like precious little dicken's babies! I LOVE both of them. Ohhh I hope I get to sew for a grand-daughter someday - you are sooooo lucky! :)

Sara, these turned out soooo beautiful! I will be calling you. Remember when we talked about the coat I wanted to make and I was going to use wool? Well, I ended up buying pink velveteen very similar in color to yours so I may need some tips! I hope you will be able to get some pictures of your precious dolls modeling these!

Hi Sara! We have chatted on the seams like yesterday board. These coats are beautiful. I am getting ready to make this pattern out of wool w/ velveteen collar for my daughter. I have read through the instructions, and they seem a little different. Did you wait and attach the sleeve lining after you had attached the lining to the coat, or did you set the sleeve lining into the lining and then attach? Also, did you use the bonnet pattern that came with the pattern? Hope this isn't a confusing question. Love, love, love these.

I was hoping you would post these on my Linky Party, Sara! They are soooooo sweet! I have been admiring little wool dress coats on little girls this Christmas Season and these two are the cutest EVER!

Wow! Those are stunning! I am going to have to find that pattern and stash it away for when I have grands! Love your projects!

They are beautiful, and I'm sure will also become family heirlooms to pass down.

These look so cute. I just love the look of them. Quite cute to have the lace in the bonnet like that. Looks nice. Just wondering where I may find the pattern for the coat and hat.
