My sewing room . ..

After seeing all the beautiful creative spaces recently posted on My Desert Cottage who hosted "Where Bloggers Create", I was inspired to do a little fluffing and primping in my own creative space.

My space was originally our son's room and when we made this room for him, I don't know where my brain was when I "let" him and my darling husband put this siding up on the walls.
Over the years I have often thought about ways to hide, cover or replace it. But that was such a big project, I decided to just go with what I have.

Oh what a wonderful place to be able to sit and sew and create. I usually wind up on the dining room table. Love to have a room as wonderful as yours. Gorgeous. Hugs, Marty

Sara, your sewing room is beautiful and it's an inspiration for me to make mine a bit more cozy! I just LOVE the white armoire - how darling! LOVE all the white cabinets for storage - that's something I really lack in my sewing room that I wished I had! Thanks for sharing your beautiful sewing room!

Such a wonderful space! Even if the walls aren't quite your style, I bet they hold such wonderful memories of your son. I find that sometimes makes a room more special than anything I could add. Thanks for sharing!

Sara, it is beautiful. Thanks for the inspiration. I'll have to wait awhile though to be able to use one of my kids' rooms for a sewing room.

Well, no wonder you come up with such beautiful creations! You've got tons of space to work with & it is beautifully set up, Sara.

Can you white-wash the paneling? Maybe it would lighten it more to your liking. I do think you can put that heavy textured wallpaper over it, too. I agree though...big project that would keep you out of business for awhile. Ugh! I'd probably live with it too. :-)

Love your hubby's baby things hanging.

What a wonderful spacious work space.
Create Galore!

If the paneling really bothers you paint it. As my pastor always says - If the barn needs paint, paint it.
Yes, you would not be able to work there for a while, but can you imagine how refreshed the walls would or could look? Afterwards you may be so happy you did it.

I love the outfits of your husband there too. A source of inspiration.
