Blessed!!!

Our state of Tennessee has just experienced some terrible weather disasters. I am sure by now you have heard of the flooding in the western and middle sections of the state.
Our county has also experienced a tornado, which struck about 4 am Sunday . Many people have lost their homes and many areas are still without power.
Our family business is located in the the area where the tornado's path swept through and the business is now gone. As bad as this was for us, we have so much to be thankful for. We were not at the business, so we are safe. And it was not our home. We are still able to be business, as we moved what we could  of the office to the house.
But, there is a lot for us to do that takes valuable time away from doing business, so please pray for us as we work though this.
Needless to say, my blogging time is now very limited as my days are filled with making lists and making calls to insurance adjusters, etc.
I will be back soon, I hope!!!

Sara, I am so glad to hear that you all are ok. The storms & flood has left me numb, but fortunate that we suffered little water damage. My hubby was part of the volunteer crew that was on the stranded excursion train from Nashville on Sat. Hours of unanswered calls & pacing had me so stressed. Grateful to get the call saying all safe. We have friends who have lost homes & businesses. An elderly couple (long time family friends) were caught in the I-24 flooding. They we able to get out of their vehicle & be rescued. Watching the live news of 24 was bad enough, but glad to find our about our friends afterwards.

Good luck in the recovery efforts. I'm a Memphis native (and heirloom sewer--that's how I found your blog) and have been thinking of everyone in your area a lot. Hallie

Hugs & prayers for you, Sara! I know how lucky you feel even with all the additional worry & work this has caused. Material stuff can be replaced...I'm so glad no one was injured.

Don't bother to blog right now, just take care of yourself.

Hugs,

I'm in East TN. We have many family members and friends in the middle and western part of the state. All are safe, but some have flood damage. I'm so glad that you are save. I hate to hear about your business building. I will be praying for you and your family. Check out my last two posts about this disasterous event.

Sara,
Just saw your post and am so glad that everyone is safe. We had been so concerned for our daughter that lives in Clarksville, TN and are so glad they were spared any damage. Patience and persistence will do you well....sewing was probably a good practice for the hard work ahead.
Prayers for a qucik turn around,
Gwen

Continued prayers for all of you and others affected by the past weather disasters. We lived in the Clarksville, TN area 6 yrs ago and still have dear friends in that area that had the flooding from the Cumberland river. Peace and comfort during this time of "rebuilding and restoration".

Blessings & Aloha!
